Position Summary - The Nurse Practitioner shall be licensed in the State of Mississippi and must practice according to a Board approved protocol which has mutual agreement of and by a Mississippi licensed physician and the approval by the Board of Trustees. Position Summary - The Patient Care Manager is accountable and responsible 24 hours a day for managing and guiding all the activities of the unit including, but not limited to, the staff, environment, and patients. In addition, the Patient Care Manager is held accountable for functioning within the unit budget by using cost-effective methods while maintaining safe quality patient care. She/he is directly accountable and responsible to the Director of Nursing. Position Summary - Performs under the direct supervision of a RN and is delegated an assignment by him/her to achieve quality patient care. Position Summary - The RN Consultant performs under the direct supervision of the Call Center Coordinator and is delegated an assignment and scheduled hours to work to achieve quality caller/patient care. The RN Consultant shall follow the guidelines approved by the Medical Director and implement the nursing process in an organized, systematic manner to include assessment, intervention, and evaluation as evidenced by documentation in the record of each caller/patient, direct observation by Call Center Coordinator and caller/patient evaluation of advice/care. Utilizes the processes of nursing assessment in conjunction with established clinical triage and call management guidelines to coordinate and facilitate access to quality care that is cost effective and allows for optimal outcomes. (0773) REVENUE INTEGRITY COORDINATOR: (FULL-TIME) PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES
Position Summary - This position is responsible for the identification and implementation of revenue integrity solutions. The position reports to the Director, Revenue Cycle, and works directly with departments including, but not limited to Patient Financial Services, H.I.M., Corporate Compliance, and all clinical revenue-generating departments. This position is responsible for the governmental and commercial insurance claims auditing functions for the hospital. This includes, but is not limited to, Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC), Medicaid MICs, and Medicare Advantage audits. The duties include, but are not limited to: regular audits of accounts that have diagnosises which are known targets of the RAC; work with the appropriate area to correct deficiencies; coordinate and provide RAC education to appropriate departments on a regular basis; remain up-to-date on all RAC regulatory changes and activity, and share knowledge with Director and appropriate areas; coordinate and supervise the RAC information tracking system This position will set goals and objectives to improve the charge capture process and enhance and improve coding and documentation compliance. The position will perform comprehensive charge and coding audits to: 1. ensure correct coding and charge capture; 2. verify that medical record documentation supports the charges and coding on the claim; 3. identify trends and opportunities for improvement of potential deficiencies; 4. provide education to departments based on audit findings and deficiencies. Work with departments to develop corrective action plans and timelines for improvement. The position is expected to remain up to date on governmental regulatory policies that affect the revenue cycle. The position will analyze the effect of regulatory and policy changes on the revenue cycle, and develop recommendations to address such changes. The Revenue Integrity Coordinator will educate hospital administration and appropriate department leaders on all aspects of revenue integrity. This position is responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of the charge description master (CDM). Ensures that all charges and associated CPT/HCPCS codes are accurate and updated as needed. This position will perform CDM audits for accuracy, maintain third-party payer requirements, assist with billing issues where needed, and provide outside CDM reviews when necessary. Position is responsible for leading the Chargemaster Committee and directing the monthly meetings by setting the agenda, obtaining input from members, and providing relevant information and updates to Committee members.
QUALIFICATIONS - College degree in nursing, business, accounting, hospital administration, or related field is required. College degree in nursing strongly preferred. Extensive experience with MS Excel and MS Word required. Experience with data analysis, database management, and report development preferred. Ability to facilitate meetings, develop agendas and presentations is required. Excellent public speaking skills are a must. Must have excellent organizational skills. Two years of clinical or coding experience, preferably in an acute care hospital or similar institution is required. RN with coding certification strongly preferred.

Position Summary - Under the direction of the Coding Manager, this position is responsible for performing concurrent coding and medical record chart review on hospital units. Ensures appropriate interim APR-DRG (All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Group) SOI (Severity of Illness) and ROM (Risk of Mortality) for given patient assignments. Completes physician query forms and collaborates with physicians and physician advisors to obtain accurate, timely physician documentation in patient medical records. Works with HIM Coding staff in preparing charts for final coding.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor of Science Degree or Associate degree in Health Information Management or Nursing Degree (RN). Two (2) years experience in Coding inpatient medicinal records at large acute care facility or two (2) years experience in Case Management, utilization review. Current Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in State of Mississippi.

(0076) NUTRITION SUPPORT DIETICIAN: (FULL-TIME) NUTRITION SUPPORT
Position Summary - Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Support Service Coordinator, provides specialized medical nutrition therapy as a member of the Nutrition Support Team. Completes nutritional assessments, designs, recommends, and implements specialized enteral and parenteral nutrition regimens for patients being followed by the Nutrition Support Team. Collaborates with other healthcare team members in planning post-hospital care.
QUALIFICATIONS - An undergraduate and/or advanced degree from an accredited school with a major in food and nutrition or dietetics, human nutrition. Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. Licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Health; Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian required within two years of employment.

Position Summary - Fulfills professional responsibility in dispensing, procurement, control, and consultation involved with medication. Knowledgeable and capable of performing any pharmaceutical duty in the home care/ hospice pharmacy. The Pharmacist must utilize a growth and development knowledge based in medication for children (pediatric), adolescent, and geriatric patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Knowledgeable of principles involved in provisions of care to homebound patients including equipment and ancillary administration devices unique to this patient population. Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to develop pharmaceutical care plans and coordinate with other caregivers. Performs clinical interventions via caregiver team meetings. Demonstrates the knowledge of and compassion for dealing with hospice patients and families. Coordinates with other disciplines to manage pharmaceutical needs unique to hospice populations with particular emphasis on pain control and patient comfort issues. (0364) STEMI COORDINATOR: (FULL-TIME) CATH LAB
Position Summary - A cardiology or emergency nurse clinician responsible for coordination of the development of and implementation of a regional system for treating ST-elevation myocardial infarction patients in collaboration with a medical director from FGH and a core statewide STEMI system organization. This position will require a dynamic person with excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and public speaking skills who is passionate about improving STEMI care in Forrest General Hospital's referral area and throughout the state. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to have a significant impact on cardiovascular care delivery in the state of Mississippi. The following is a summary of the major job processes of this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific duties may change from time to time: Maintain in-depth knowledge of AHA/ACC STEMI Guidelines. Identify hospitals and EMS agencies within the assigned region that send STEMI patients to Forrest General Hospital. Approach EMS agencies, transfer hospitals and other Primary PCI Hospitals in the state to improve STEMI care. Conduct a survey to characterize the state of STEMI care at each referral facility and hospital in our regional area. Help in similar survey as part of Forrest General Hospital's participation in statewide system. Be instrumental in the development of a plan to include: Systematic changes likely to improve the rate and speed of reperfusion. Education and supporting materials regarding AMI care. Rapid transport plans. Code STEMI protocol. Order sets. Bypass protocols. Feedback loop- follow up communication with referral hospitals. Coordinate Forrest General Hospitals STEMI Team and participate in state wide STEMI Team and committees. Review data on an ongoing basis to determine consistency of data collected from various sources, recommend modifications to system as need to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency. Participate in to be designated statewide data collection systems and quality assurance programs. Develop, coordinate, participate in, and /or facilitate educational activities in regional referral area, PCI referral hospitals, and participate in statewide STEMI system educational activities. Maintain liaison with project leaders, including physician leadership, administration, Forrest General Hospital cardiovascular care service line manager as well as other interested parties to establish a communications system to coordinate various aspects of the project. Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, roadblocks and appropriate recommendations for success and or conclusions as requested.

Position Summary - Responsible for the operation, management and leadership of the Central Sterile Supply Department; providing clinical participation in Supply Chain Management processes; supervises and establishes standards of decontamination, disinfection and sterilization in partnership with Infection Control for compliance with industry standards and those of regulatory agencies for uniform practices throughout the hospital; and providing related consultation services for hospital departments, physicians, community providers and area hospitals.

Position Summary - The Patient Account Service Representative occupies and manages the front desk. This includes, but is not limited to, politely and efficiently greeting patients and visitors, taking phone messages, setting up patient charts, using the SMPG computer system as it relates to admission, insurance claims, and/or financial aspects of the patients visit, as well as scheduling appointments. Position Summary - Ensure prompt and efficient handling and filing of insurance claims and related documents in order to receive payment in a timely manner. This is accomplished by following up with insurance companies (government and non-government) as well as identifying and resolving problems. In performance of these duties, this role is responsible for and includes, but is not limited to the following: Average quantity and value of accounts worked each day meets standards. Working an account includes for filing, re-billing, appealing and working of insurance claims on the hospital accounts receivables. Updates to patient accounts notes are documented with appropriate detail. Adjustment request are accurately computed and documented. Patient account's tools are being utilized to enhance and expedite collections. Workfiles used with appropriate work-again dates, action codes, sorts, etc. Carrier sites utilized, web-sites, DDE, M-Caid download. Patient account notes reflect the aggressive collection logic necessary for expediting payments. Responsible for processing all SSI error claims on a daily basis. Responsible for processing SSI hold claims on a daily basis. Ensures that the hold claims are at an acceptable level. Communicates with the appropriate departments to ensure data is obtained timely in order to file the claim. Ensures there is no excessive and/or unjustified amount of backlogged claims in the work area. Maintains a clear understanding of goals set and strives to meet these goals weekly. Able to perform manual intervention of claims such as "split bill", add room charges, or any other procedure necessary to process an account. Responsible for filing all claims requiring special documentation. Each claim must be reviewed, mail on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or equivalent required. Insurance follow-up or billing experience in hospital setting or physician office is preferred. Experience operating personal computer and calculator accurately is required. Six month probationary on the job training is required to become familiar with Forrest Generals Hospital's policies and procedures. CPAR certification preferred.

Position Summary - Responsible for interfacing with the control department in Finance for the receipt of cash and contractual adjustment input transactions. Responsible for the creation, organization and distribution of all cash balancing batches to Finance. Researches any problems concerning payment application and assists in correcting all errors detected by other personnel. Responsible for the reconciliation process for certain payors. Ensures that the recirculating error file report is worked daily. In performance of these duties, this role will be responsible for and include, but not limited to the following: Organizes keypunch work into batches of 40. Ensures that data is keypunched in a timely manner and that all data entered is balanced daily. Reconciles Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Blue Cross remittance as received. Works the recirculating error file report daily and ensures that the report is kept at an acceptable length of no more than 250 pages.
QUALIFICATIONS - High School diploma or equivalent required. Formal training from vocational school in data entry or data processing and payment applications in a patient accounting system is preferable. Must be proficient with a personal computer and 10 key touch. Two years experience in data entry, data processing, or patient accounting is preferable. CPAR certification preferred.

The position reports to the Director, Revenue Cycle, and works directly with departments including, but not limited to Patient Financial Services, H.I.M., Corporate Compliance, and all clinical revenue-generating departments. This position is responsible for the governmental and commercial insurance claims auditing functions for the hospital. This includes, but is not limited to, Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC), Medicaid MICs, and Medicare Advantage audits. The duties include, but are not limited to: regular audits of accounts that have diagnosises which are known targets of the RAC; work with the appropriate area to correct deficiencies; coordinate and provide RAC education to appropriate departments on a regular basis; remain up-to-date on all RAC regulatory changes and activity, and share knowledge with Director and appropriate areas; coordinate and supervise the RAC information tracking system This position will set goals and objectives to improve the charge capture process and enhance and improve coding and documentation compliance. The position will perform comprehensive charge and coding audits to: 1. ensure correct coding and charge capture; 2. verify that medical record documentation supports the charges and coding on the claim; 3. identify trends and opportunities for improvement of potential deficiencies; 4. provide education to departments based on audit findings and deficiencies. Work with departments to develop corrective action plans and timelines for improvement. The position is expected to remain up to date on governmental regulatory policies that affect the revenue cycle. The position will analyze the effect of regulatory and policy changes on the revenue cycle, and develop recommendations to address such changes. The Revenue Integrity Coordinator will educate hospital administration and appropriate department leaders on all aspects of revenue integrity. This position is responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of the charge description master (CDM). Ensures that all charges and associated CPT/HCPCS codes are accurate and updated as needed. This position will perform CDM audits for accuracy, maintain third-party payer requirements, assist with billing issues where needed, and provide outside CDM reviews when necessary. Position is responsible for leading the Chargemaster Committee and directing the monthly meetings by setting the agenda, obtaining input from members, and providing relevant information and updates to Committee members.
QUALIFICATIONS - College degree in nursing, business, accounting, hospital administration, or related field is required. College degree in nursing strongly preferred. Extensive experience with MS Excel and MS Word required. Experience with data analysis, database management, and report development preferred. Position Summary - The Senior Financial Analyst position supports all functions of the Decision Support Department of Forrest General Hospital. Those functions include, but are not limited to, development and preparation of financial analyses, projections and budgets, as well as financial modeling and reports used by management in the decision making process.
