- What is my prognosis, or what does scientific data tell the physician about the likelihood of anticipated recovery based on the usual course of disease or based on the characteristics of an individual case?
- What are my treatment options and what is recommended for me? What is the goal of my treatment? Is the purpose of the treatment to cure the cancer, control it, or treat symptoms?
- Is there any expected or unexpected side effects of the treatments and how can they be alleviated?
- How long will my treatment last?
- How do my existing health conditions affect my cancer treatment?
- Should I continue to take prescription medication for other medical conditions?
- Will I be able to work? Care for my family?
- What will the cost of my treatment be?
- Can you recommend someone to advise or assist me with my insurance coverage?
