Medical Staff Administration consists of Dr. Steven E. Farrell, Chief Medical Officer, and Millie Swan, Chief of Marketing and Medical Staff Services. Their office is located on the first floor in the hospital for your convenience.
Medical Staff Services is a department within Medical Staff Administration. Their office is located on the first floor of the Support Services Building.
The following is a summary of functions:
- Physician liaison assuring communication to physicians, follow-up and timely attention to physician issues and concerns
- Credentialing services
- Assists service lines with engagement of physicians in Forrest General strategic planning
- Coordinator for physician meetings including Medical Executive Committee and General Medical Staff meetings
- Physician surveys and feedback
- Assists physicians in promoting new and existing hospital services
- Provides monthly communication information: The Beeper, Medical Staff calendar, etc.
- Provides monthly ER unreferred call schedule
- CME activities
- Physician recruitment assistance
