Forrest General announces 9th annual Cancer Survivor's Picnic
On Friday, October 18, cancer patients, survivors, family members and caregivers are invited to join Forrest General for good food, conversation, music and fun! The Cancer Survivor’s Picnic, which is celebrating its 9th year, is designed to offer a chance to celebrate and fellowship with other survivors while relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Forrest General employee Susie Jordan attends the picnic each year to visit with those who have been through many of the same things she experienced as a cancer patient several years ago. “I love to go each year because I get to see a lot of people and hear how they are progressing,” said Jordan. “The picnic gives the cancer survivors a chance to get acquainted with other cancer survivors of all ages and bond together as a group.”
This year’s picnic will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on the grounds of Forrest General’s Cancer Center and will include lunch. No registration is required to attend – simply come and enjoy! For more information on the picnic, contact FGH OnCall at 1-800-844-4445.
