Questions to Ask When Choosing a Doctor

- What is my doctor's name, and what kind of doctor is he or she?
- Does the doctor have a good reputation among other doctors and patients?
- What role will this doctor play in my treatment plan, and how will he or she interact with other doctors involved in my treatment plan?
- Do you find it easy to communicate freely with him/her?
- Is the doctor's office staff nice and helpful?
- Does the doctor's office accept your insurance?
- If your doctor has partners, do you feel comfortable with them?
- Does the physician have a clear method for you to communicate with him and his partners if you need anything between visits?
- Is the doctor comfortable talking about what will happen and how the treatment plan will change in the eventuality that treatment is not successful?
