Managed Care Contracting

Forrest General's Managed Care Contracting, a part of the Insurance Operations Department, is responsible for negotiating and managing special reimbursement agreements between the hospital system and managed care organizations, including Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs) and Third Party Administrators (TPAs). Patients who are members of these managed care organizations receive health care services at discounted rates as a result of these agreements.
