Clergy Hospital Visits
Forrest General Hospital respects all patients' rights to complete privacy during each hospital admission. In an effort to honor our patients' right to complete confidentiality, we encourage our patients to contact their own church, synagogue, or other place of worship to inform their own clergy of each hospital admission. This is the best way to insure our patients' spiritual needs are met while in the hospital.
In addition to encouraging our patients to contact their own places of worship concerning their spiritual needs, Forrest General has several chaplains on staff to address the immediate spiritual needs and crises of our patients while they are in the hospital. Patients and clergy alike are encouraged to contact our hospital chaplains to assist in meeting patients' spiritual needs; call 601-288-4227 for urgent needs, please contact the hospital operator and request a chaplain to be paged: 601-288-7000.
