Who qualifies for Hospice?
Hospice care is available to individuals who are certified as having a terminal diagnosis with a prognosis of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Anyone may request hospice care for themselves or a loved one.

Who pays for Hospice?
Hospice care is insured under the 1982 Hospice Benefit Act. Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies offer hospice benefit plans.  Forrest General will file all claims and handle all paperwork to make your experience much easier.
