2009

  • Several physicians from Pine Grove Behavioral Health are among the first physicians in the U.S. certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
  • First group of physicians inducted into the Forrest General Doctors Hall of Fame
  • First in south Mississippi (and only the second in the state) to achieve disease-specific certification as an Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center by the Joint Commission

  2013

  • Forrest General is the first hospital in the Pine Belt and the second hospital in Mississippi to receive the National Weather Service StormReady Supporter Designation. The StormReady program recognizes locations with superior communication and safety skills before, during and after severe weather.

Forrest General receives American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline Silver Quality Achievement Award recognizing outstanding care of STEMI Heart Attack patients


Forrest General is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by DNV Healthcare, Inc.
