Averaging about 350 procedures a month, Forrest General Hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory performs both diagnostic catheterization procedures to assess coronary artery blockages and interventional catheterizations. Interventional treatment for blockages in the coronary arteries include balloon angioplasty, atherectomy, coronary stents, rotablator and radiation treatment of re-occurring blockages in stented arteries.
