FORREST HEALTH

From its beginnings as a 90-bed facility that opened its doors in 1952, Forrest General has grown into a 512-bed, Level II Regional Trauma Center and hospital system- Forrest Health - that maintains a commitment to support outlying hospitals in caring for their communities. That commitment can be seen through Forrest General's purchase of Highland Community Hospital in Picayune, which will soon have a brand-new facility, scheduled to be completed in July 2012.  Lease/management agreements with Jefferson Davis County Hospital in Prentiss, Marion County General Hospital in Columbia and Walthall County Hospital in Tylertown are helping increase access to quality care throughout our region. With these and other outside facilities, Forrest General provides services to 19 counties across Mississippi and beyond.
