Position Summary - Performs under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Coordinator and is delegated an assignment by the coordinator to achieve quality patient care. The Associate RN shall implement the nursing process in an organized, systematic manner to include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in collaboration with the Patient Care Coordinator as evidenced by documentation in Patient Care Record, direct observation by Nurse Manager and patient evaluations of care. Position Summary – RN is a member of the patient care team within the Department of Home Health and is directly accountable to the Patient Care Manager. The position requires that the individual be clinically competent.
QUALIFICATIONS – Graduate of a recognized RN program. Must have successfully completed at least 825 clinical practice hours for B.S. program or at least 750 clinical practice hours for A.D. program. Position Summary – The Patient Care Coordinator is accountable and responsible for managing the clinical care of course of treatment of a number of patients. Coordination of care is accomplished through collaboration with physicians, associate staff, and other health care providers to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved within the projected course of treatment using the nursing process. Accountable to the Nurse Manager.

Position Summary - Provides general psychiatric care and treatment to patients in the clinic and/or inpatient facility in collaboration/consultation with a psychiatrist currently holding an unrestricted license in Mississippi. In accordance with their Board of Nursing approved protocol, the psychiatric nurse practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental illnesses. Additionally, the psychiatric nurse practitioner will provide core education and counseling to promote mental health.

Position Summary – The Medical Social Worker assists patients and their families with personal and environmental difficulties which predispose illness or interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from health and medical care. Plans, organizes and implements social work services to patients and families. Must utilize a growth and development knowledge base in the care of children (pediatric), adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Uses professional knowledge and a team approach to provide medical and social interventions for patients who are influenced by a health impairment. Provides discharge planning services, emotional care, advocacy, and maintains effective working relationships with community resources and services. Reports to Director of the Medical Social Services Department. Responsible for working weekends and being on call.
QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor's degree in social work from accredited school of social work; prefer Master’s degree -- Medical Social Work. Must be Licensed Social Worker (LSW) as defined by Section 75-53-1 of the Mississippi Code of 1972. Prefer two years social work experience in a health-related agency or facility; will consider new graduate.

(0452) PHYSICIST: (FULL-TIME) RADIOLOGY-ONCOLOGY
Position Summary – Will be responsible for all aspects of clinical Radiation Oncology physics including but not limited to quality assurance and calibration of treatment equipment, oversight of patient dosimetry, daily-weekly charts check, IMRT QA, commissioning of new equipment, treatment planning systems, ensuring compliance of NRC and State regulations including Radiation Safety and Licensing. Assist in treatment planning, including IMRT in collaboration with the medical dosimetrist and radiation oncologist. Performs brachytherapy planning and calculations, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly calibrations for the existing linear accelerators and CT/simulators. Measures output factors as required. Reviews patient charts as instructed by the radiation oncologist and also provides supporting documentation. Performs treatment planning intermittent periods as the situation demands. Participates in repair and trouble shooting of equipment through on-call service support. Will report to Chief Physicist.
QUALIFICATIONS – Graduate of an approved accredited college with a masters of science, physics. ACR certified desirable.

(0475) SUPERVISOR-CAT SCAN: (FULL-TIME) RADIOLOGY-CT
Position Summary – Under general direction of the department manager, supervise the operations of 3 CT Systems and Imaging 3D software. Supervise technical staff and ancillary personnel, and coordinate all patient activities within responsible modality. Assign work schedules for staff technologists and ancillary personnel. Assure that all patient examinations are performed in accordance with established protocols and demonstrate knowledge of digital environment. Must demonstrate knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Picture Archiving Communications Systems (PACS) through prior experience. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills. Assures the correct patient is being imaged in accordance to hospital protocol of checking at least two patient identifiers prior to completing examination. Reviews patient documents for completeness. Reviews patient images for technical quality prior to archiving to PACS and submission to the radiologists for interpretation. Ensure that all examinations have been charged correctly. Perform QA/QC on equipment, as needed and supervise all ACR, and/or any governing agency standards required for assigned modality. Arrange for corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment as required. Prepare monthly reports, as needed. Ensure that quality assurance procedures for equipment are performed and documented. Provides in-services to employees to keep knowledge current on procedures and protocols. Resolves simple informal complaints of employees and refers other to manager. Evaluates performance and makes recommendation for personnel actions. Ensures efficient workflow in the modality. Organizes work in such a way that the structure responds to changes in workload. Confers with the Radiologists to establish protocols of nonstandard examinations and create new protocols as new procedures evolve. Ensures compliance to JCAHO patient safety goals and required standards. Start IV's and/or administer contrast media. Ensures that area specific code carts are checked and tested on a daily basis. Provide resource assistance for personnel within the area. Perform patient examinations when required. Provide student technologists with the basic procedural concepts within responsible modality. Function as a liaison between the physicians and technologists. Monitor patient volume statistics and/or productivity data. Shares call responsibility for emergency examinations, as needed. Demonstrates appropriate computer skills. Knowledgeable of Radiation Safety ALARA principles and practice.
QUALIFICATIONS – Graduate from an approved AMA school of radiologic technology. Three years to five years CT experience. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certified in CT preferred. CPR certified.

Position Summary – Directs all departmental functions related to the Hospital's Health Information Management Department and Medical Library Services. Works in an administrative, financial, and clinical capacity relative to the implementation and monitoring of systems necessary for the Hospital's Health Information Management Program and Medical Library Services. Provides leadership in the Hospital’s Enterprise Document Imaging business operations. Provides support and development opportunities for Health Information Management and Medical Library Services personnel. Good organizational skills are necessary for assisting in the planning, directing, and evaluating Department functions. Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Administration or related field from an accredited university is required. A minimum of five years experience in health information management leadership role or clinical nursing/hospital administration role is required. Electronic medical record experience preferred. Must have a working knowledge and experience with information systems management, health information management and ICD 9/CPT coding functions. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) strongly preferred.

Position Summary – Directs all departmental functions related to the Hospital’s Health Information Management Department to include Cancer Registry, Transcription, and Release of Information, Document Imaging, Discharge Analysis, and Record Completion. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Coding Department. Performs monthly audits of inpatient and outpatient records for compliance to establish coding practices to assure that diagnoses and procedures assigned reflect the documentation performed on the patient record. Responsible for development and presentation of staff education designed to address coding and compliance issues. Serves on the Corporate Compliance Committee. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor of Science Degree in Registered Record Administration from an accredited university is preferred. Three or more years experience in Health Information Management is desirable. Prefer a working knowledge of medical records systems and experience with various computer software environments including Microsoft Office, SoftMed applications, flow-charting, and other data analysis skills. Obtain Public Safety information from internal and external customers, accurately communicates the information to officers, and records the information correctly into the CAD system.
