Insurance Operations assists hospital employees, area employers and their employees, seniors, and others in the community by providing the following services:
Managed Care
Forrest General Hospital participates in various PPO Networks, works directly with area employers, and contracts with several group health insurance companies. Insurance Operations is responsible for monitoring claims reimbursement based on the terms of an individual contract. Medicare Information
Continuing education and information related to the Medicare Program is available to the community, hospital personnel and the provider community. Call 601-288-8120 for more information.
Medicare Select
Forrest General Hospital partners with Hattiesburg Clinic to offer a more affordable Medicare Supplemental Insurance Policy. Medicare Select policyholders may choose any physician who participates in the Medicare Program. Premiums for Medicare Select are usually 15 to 20 percent lower than traditional supplemental plans.
