Pastoral Services
Forrest General's Pastoral Services provides pastoral visitation and counseling for all patients requesting its services. Hospitalization provides time for reflection, which often brings forth hopes and fears. This reflection is normal and can be a time for spiritual growth.
The Chaplain and other Pastoral Services staff are dedicated to helping patients and their families toward the fullest possible recovery. Spiritual resources, including Forrest General's devotional opportunities, can be an effective aid during a patient's healing process. Several local and state church services are available through patient room television sets.
Pastoral Services also facilitates pastoral ministries of area clergy through contemporary health care training programs, education and individual consultations.
